We have posted our fall rosters on our registration system, Sports Connect. Coaches are picking up their packets and equipment tonight and you should hear from them within the next week if you haven’t already done so.
We have tried to honor coach and teammate requests but it is not always totally possible. Especially at our older ages, we have had to merge teams to ensure all teams have sufficient players for a successful season. For those who registered after the end of regular registration on June 23, it is on a space-available basis and sometimes the requested team is full. We have tried to keep players from the same school together and I know all our coaches are committed and enthusiastic to meet your player and get the season started.
Practices are starting this year on August 12 per instructions from our parent league. Your coach will have your practice information. Please make sure to bring your completed medical release form and give it to your coach. It is attached to this email. If you need a Somerset West jersey, please order it as soon as possible per the instructions on our Uniforms page. If you already have a jersey from a previous season, you are welcome to use it again.
We expect game schedules to be available at the end of August. The first games are on Saturday, September 7 and picture day will be on September 14 so please save that date!
Our parent league has created a set of Grade-specific slides providing Game Day training for both coaches and parents. These provide a lot of information about the program at your player’s division including expectations and responsibilities for coaches, parents, and players.
